LS-TEN
Welcome to our School
LS-TEN is a small, independent school that specialises in supporting young people
with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
We offer full time and personalised placements to 11- 16 year olds including as a named provision on a young person’s EHCP and as alternative provision for those referred by their host school.
We provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment to engage in education.
With a focus on nurture, we’re proud of the progress learners make at our school knowing they are safe and supported. Our Nurture Provision includes calming spaces throughout the building and grounds to regulate and re-focus, and an activity room, outdoor sports area, and indoor and outdoor skateparks for times when students need movement to help them re-engage.
As a small school with space for up to 28 students and class sizes of up to 6, we get to know our students and families well and tailor each student’s experience around their individual needs.
Our school benefits from the expertise of our Educational Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and BACP qualified Counsellor working closely with our SENDCo and Head of Teaching and Learning to understand and support the needs of our students. A mix of experienced qualified teachers and HLTAs, together with tutors, sports coaches, youth workers, and engagement workers help to support our students towards their own positive outcomes.
