Meet The Trustees of LS-TEN

On the 30th September 2020, probably the only good thing to come out of 2020, we received the great news that we had our charity application approved and so we’ve become a registered charity in the UK.

None of this would have been possible without the hard work of our amazing trustees. Take a little read below to find out a little bit more about our trustees, who they are and why they volunteer for LS-TEN.

Angus Martin - Chair of the Trustees.

Angus is a qualified accountant with over 40 years of experience. Also Chair of the Governing Body of the Grammar School at Leeds, Chair of the Finance and Business Committee at St Gemma’s Hospice and a trustee of Open Arms Malawi.

LS-TEN Charity is rare that is has two key objectives, both of which I support. It provides a much needed education facility for children who have been struggling to settle in main stream education and it provides sports facilities for the local and wider Leeds Community. Local charities like LS-TEN are critical to supporting the well-being of both children and adults and I am proud to be associated with them.

Dave Smith - H and S Consultant

Dave’s role as a trustee is our H and S consultant. He doesnt make our job easy but he sure does make the place safe for people to use. Dave is a retired fire officer, magistrate, foster carer and Prices Trust Ambassador. Is there anything he hasnt done?

Why did you want to be a trustee of LS-TEN?

Well I have strong belief in the core values of LS-TEN and I have desire to support a team who ca make a REAL difference to young peoples lives and futures.

Dave Mitchell - Trustee

You have probably seen Dave skating around LS-TEN and your local park a million times over the year. Dave have been skateboarding for 44 years and he still has it!

Dave brings to the team not only skatepark experience but 30 years of running a multi-million pound national corporate business.

I want to help the local community and help with the continued progress and build the Leeds Skate Community.
